Leonor Urdaneta, a young and talented filmmaker from Venezuela. She started her career in the early 90´s as a student of Visual Journalism at the University of Zulia, in the city of Maracaibo, Venezuela.
After graduating from college, Urdaneta worked as a Makeup Artist and Art Assistant in films in Caracas, Venezuela, where she could get a more in-depth experience id and art that she always wanted to be part of, movies. In 1999, Leonor moved to cuba and specialized as a Film Director at the ¨International School of Film and Tv¨ in San Antonio de los Baños, where she experienced life in this beautiful island and worked with people from all over the world in this prestigious school.
As a filmmaker she has experienced working with different formats like video digital, 16mm and 35mm. Leonor has worked as a Film Director from documentaries for the Culture Ministry of Venezuela, Music Videos for music bands, and as a Film Professor at Rafael Belloso Chacín in Maracaibo, Venezuela.
Currently, Leonor Urdaneta live with her son in Barcelona, Spain, where she continues to work in audiovisual independent projects and teaches special workshop about movie making to children of different ages.
